Currently, only customers with bank accounts can access PesaLink on their bank channels.

Do I need a smartphone to use PesaLink on mobile?

For SBM Bank, PesaLink is only accessible through a smartphone on mobile banking, Computer/tablet on our Online Banking Channel.

How do I send money to a mobile number using PesaLink?

Login into SBM Mfukoni Mobile or Online Banking> Funds Transfer> Pesalink> Select Source Account> Send To Phone> Enter Mobile Number> Enter Amount, Remarks & > OTP & Submit

How do I send money to account number using PesaLink?

Login into SBM Mfukoni Mobile or Online Banking> Funds Transfer> Pesalink> Select Source Account > Send To Account > Enter Account, Select from List of Banks, Enter Amount, Remarks> OTP & Submit

NB: Ensure you have the correct account number and bank name.

How can I confirm the recipient received the funds?

SBM Bank will send a confirmation SMS of a successful transfer. The recipient will also receive an instant SMS notification from PesaLink with details of the payments, name of the sender and bank.

How long does it take for funds sent through PesaLink to credit my account?

It should take between 1 to 5 minutes for a PesaLink transaction to be completed.

How will I know that I have sent money to the right person?

Details of the recipient’s Name and Bank will be displayed for verification before sending the funds.

Can I use PesaLink to send money to an account in SBM Bank?

No, we offer free internal funds transfers to all SBM Bank Customers through our Mobile and Online Banking.
