MERCHANTS OF HOPE

MERCHANTS OF HOPE

SBM Merchants of Hope Campaign

Introduction of Merchants of Hope

MSMEs are the bedrock of our economy. The Covid-19 pandemic has slowed down businesses and affected many household incomes, many of which are small business owner homes. The Merchant of Hope campaign aims to shine a spotlight on these businesses and hopefully connect them to markets and new customers. So that during this period of social distancing we can still support a small business.

How the campaign will run

On our SBM Bank Kenya social media pages, we will ask our audience to recommend and nominate small businesses in various industries that they have and are supporting during this time.

We will use the different features on social media platforms to select the most recommended ones and recognize them the next day by posting the name of the business and the industry they are in, along with their social media handles which will guide interested parties on how they can reach the business. For instance, we will ask our audience to nominate vegetable suppliers in their estate who supply them on a regular basis for a chance to be recognized by SBM Bank and as a result, SBM Bank’s online audience.
