Branch Closure

In response to the changing habits of our customers and the increased reliance on our digital platforms, we would like to inform you that we are reviewing distribution of our branch network.  Currently, 82 percent of our customers transact through alternate channels which include cards and Mfukoni mobile and online banking. 

Presently, more people are embracing technology and the use of hand-held devices amidst the pandemic for day-to-day banking activities. As a result, the rise in demand for convenient financial services was inevitable, hence at SBM Bank Kenya we are leveraging on the growing mobile usage in the country to offer digital products that will make banking for our customers more efficient and convenient.

In light of proximity to co-located branches, we will be merging operations of three of our branches and two Express service centers effective 29^th October 2021. Account holders in these branches will continue to enjoy uninterrupted services through our branch network and their new domicile branches as indicated below:

• Lavington Branch will be merged with ABC Elite Branch located at ABC Place, 1^st Floor, Waiyaki Way.
• Buru Buru Branch will be merged with Donholm Branch located at East Gate Shopping Mall, outering Road on the Ground Floor.
• Kimathi Branch will be merged with Corner House Branch located at Corner House, Kimathi Street on the Ground Floor.
• SBM Xpress Limuru Road will be merged with Diamond Plaza Branch located at Diamond Plaza, 4^th Parklands Avenue on the Ground Floor.
• SBM Xpress Ngong Road will be merged with Kilimani Adlife located at Adlife plaza, Kilimani on Mezzanine Floor.

The impacted branches will cease operations by close of business 29^th October 2021. Normal banking services at the receiving branch will resume effective Monday 1st November 2021.

Customers can access services from any of our branches countrywide. All the merged branches operate from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm – Weekdays, 9.00 am to 1.00 pm -Saturdays and we remain closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. This closure does not affect availability of our services on the alternate channels (Mobile banking, Internet banking, Agency Banking and Card business).
